OEC is looking to the past to push beer forward

Ordinem Ecentrici Coctores (OEC for short) is brewing radically traditional beer the hard way, and it shows. Nobody is doing the insane, hyper traditional things this brewery is tackling. Their lagers are cool-shipped and open-fermented, which means that instead of kettles or tanks, the wort is brewed in a large, flat, open top vessel. This technique goes back centuries, and rarely do even the most traditional breweries still do it this way.

Their Latin name translates roughly to "Order of Eccentric Boilers," and eccentric might be an understatement. These beers are absolutely stellar across the board. Check out our very first drop from this peculiar and delightful brewery.
